HISTORY
Guwa was founded on 23 May 1985 and ows its name to founders Pierre Gutknecht and Christian Wandeler. Guwa begun as a sports apparel trader but developed soon after into a sports promotion company adding the national distribution of sports equipment and official materials of the Swiss Volleyball Federation to its portfolio of activities. 1992 begun Guwa’s specialization in sport event management, which it is today the company’s core business. We pursue a continuous improvement of our practices, quality and organizational standards for the benefit of our external customers, our niche market, our employees and those that indirectly enjoy our products.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
In addition to the event management services, Guwa Sports Management delivers worldwide infrastructure and know-how for the organization of different sport events, offers logistics solutions and consulting services. Guwa Sports Management is the national market leader and most experienced organizer of Beach Volleyball events in Switzerland. Its worldwide activities as well as the vast international network, grant Guwa Sports Management a premium image also outside the Swiss borders.
LOCATION
Guwa Sports Management headquarters are located in Stans, canton Nidwalden in the very heart of Central Switzerland. Main offices can be found at the Nägeligasse, two warehouses are also in Stans while a third one in based in Frick.
